Case IH 485 hydraulic problem

Morning all!

I've inherited a problem, following a clutch change by someone else on a Case IH 485, year 1987.

The tractor is located a a local livery yard, and following the clutch change it seems that the hydraulics to the front end loader and the 3 point linkage are not working.
The power steering works fine, and the priority valve is free.

I could do with identifying a valveblock just after the filter/pump/priority valve/relief valve. This valveblock appears to be operated by an 8mm? steel pipe to a slave cylinder with bleed nipple. I have no idea what this valveblock does or how it is operated! (the input from the pump does have free flow when cracked)

The second thing I could do with knowing, is which levers and in which order do I need to pull them to get the 3 point linkage to lift. Wherever I set them, there is no movement on the 3 point lift.

The front end loader is controlled by a pair of cable operated valveblocks located on the right side of the engine. The supply /return pipework derives from above the transmission somewhere and must have been disconnected for the clutch works. No pressurised fluid loss from either when cracked, just a small dribble from one of them.

I will attach a picture of the slave operated valve, in the hope someone can tell me what it is or how it is operated, and I'll attach other pictures of the levers inside the cab.

Cheers in anticipation!
Neil.

Is there a trailer brake coupling on the back of this tractor? That valve block is likely for hyd trailer brakes, although perhaps an add on on a 485! Can you give us a picture of the rear of the tractor? Depending on what way the loader has been plumbed,it may need the tipping pipe lever (the one with green and yellow tape) tied back for it to work, but put back to neutral for the linkage to work. I note that the draft lever is missing?? Should be in the long slot nearest the mudguard. Is it broken off down in the slot? If it's there, you may need to move both it and the position lever together to get the linkage to work.

Cheers for the reply agrimax, we spent yesterday messing about with it again.
I'll copy and paste my facebook reply for your information, and I'll attempt to get up today to photograph the rear of the tractor.
The draft lever is there, just missing it's knob, making it difficult to see!!

Update, for those that are following-
The valve Unions were cracked off one at a time to establish input and outputs, only to discover that little to no fluid was coming out of anywhere except the supply from the mcv. (Multiple control valve, according to the manual)
The valve was removed and cleaned of gunk, and the through port identified, being blocked by a sprung loaded spool acting as a non return valve.
The spool was removed in order to allow fluid through and help identify where the next component was. On starting, the 3 point linkage now works, and messing with various levers allowed pressure to the front arms.
Strangely, the front arm actuators work just off the centre position ie pull for up and push for down, but pulling or pushing the actuator to it’s full extent will lift the arms.....
Next daylight we’ll be putting the spool back in the valveblock to see if it stops the hydraulics working again, before turning attention to the actuators and pipework. (That incidentally were disconnected for splitting to do the clutch)
Part 4 coming soon......

You're rightly sorted now anyway by the looks of things.........(y)
It works, but not as it should.
It's proved unknown bits work, but the spool will be going back in to see if it stops working again, and we need to address the issue of the levers having a bit of a mind of their own.......
I'll update as necessary!

That is a trailer brake valve.
I take it you've had the priority flow divider out if the MCV when you say it's free ?

Any oil in it?
Yup.
For info, another link to my facebook on what was found and done on Wednesday.
In short, the issue has been resolved, thank you everyone for the time taken to read and post.
