Case ih 895 1992

Hi all
Anyone know where I can find the chassis number of this tractor. I've looked on the front axle to right of radiator but not there. Looks as though a plate has been there though.
Is it stamped anywhere else?
Any help greatly appreciated

Thanks 1594mac. Had a quick look and nothing there. I'll take off rhs panel and see can I see anything

There was another forum which mentioned it maybe behind a panel on the top of the bolster

Should not have to remove any panel to read. Should be on the casting on the RH side immediately above the axle. That is the location on our 895 built in '94.

Definitely not on bolster casting but there has been a plate on the axle directly below bolster

No grinder Mark's just parts of rivets sticking out. Surely it had to be stamped permanently into casting somewhere.

Found it. Its actually stamped onto the top edge of bolster rhs. Notice at the end of number that theres a crow foot stamp on it. Would that indicate military or is that normal.
