Never mind that because mine started first bat but the bulb was fused and pto wouldn't work the brain needs nine volt s o r there abouts to tell them pto to come on

The red light is out and it must be charging batter as it always starts .

No green lights flashing or any lights on that shouldnt . If the fuse was gone would it work at all ? I will check them . In my experance its never simple . Allways the expencive fix

I just phond an " expert " To be told it will be the solinoid that piuts it in gear . Apparently they give bother .
Sounds like the solinoid. Just done it on our NH 8360. When slurrying it would randomly cut out and after several tries restart a few mins later. When it cut out the yellow pto light went out and dash went back to showing lift arm height instead of pto speed

the solenoid on my mx is down buy the pto, my pto light flashes all the time which is a pain but glows green when its on, the pto wont start unless you blip the revs when you engage the button, possibly solenoid?

PTO seems to be a problem on them

The pto solenoid Is between the fuel tank and gearbox it can be changed without removing the wheel and tank but it is rather fiddly.
I changed the solenoid on my mxu at about 5000 hours, the symptoms I had sounds the same as yours so I'd have thought it's the problem. A new solenoid was about £200 and I changed it in an hour on the field.
One last simple thing to check would be the pto speed sensor wire. The Sensor is above the pto stub at the back of the tractor, the wire runs up the back beside the jaws for the top link.
The wire on mine had Chaffed through where the top link pin is, resulting in the pto engaging but only showing a few revs on the dash when At 540rpm,after a moment the tractor would realise the pto was not at the correct speed for the engine and disengage if you re engaged it it would be fine for an hour or two.
