Cast sheep

Seems to be that time of year - turning over the upside down heavily pregnant ewe. Was thinking today has anyone actually seen a fellow sheep give her friend a push back upright. Thought a lighthearted question might brighten up a particularly murky wet day in Dorset!

No.....but I once watched a bunch of hoggs chase a herd of red deer out out the field!

Who needs the estate stalker when you've got hooligan hoggs :LOL:

Not a snowball's chance in hell - I've seen the miserable beggars grazing all round a farwelted one and setting it up is the last thing on their minds:banghead::banghead::banghead: ......

.............Although, apparently, my great grandfather had a dog that would do it:)

I concur, as far as any ewe is concerned if the badger is eating the udder off her mate it's not bothering her. And as no farmer has ever dropped the ewe ration by half a pound when he's sent one ewe off to the knackery it's one more mouthful for her. They are smarter (and more devious) than we give credit for.

Never seen it myself but my grandad likes to tell me about the time he saw one ewe actually right one back up again wouldn't have believed it if he hadn't seen it!

What a good idea. If you had a dog that could run around the ewes every day, training it to drag a ewe over would be relatively easy.

My grandad had a dog that would do it too - would travel a couple of fields of its own accord if it spotted one on its back.
