Currently running a C series and am aware of a couple of low hour D series coming to the market.

Is anyone running a D, would be interested in your feedback.

Run a d series, the new sisu engines are completely different to the older cat engines, in as much as they are about done once you get under 1700 revs and where as the old cats used to be able to drag the engine right down, apart from that there's not a lot of difference other than there much quieter. I like mine but traded up to it from an A series, we get amazing dealer back up from peacock and binnington and this is what makes the tractor so good!!

Thanks for that James, I have heard reports that engine power can be an issue but that may be just because the
characteristics are different? How about fuel consumption, any better than the A?

To be honest I don't think there's a lot of difference in fuel consumption, a tank full they were both the same size does me about 10 hours when working hard, and it uses 30 ish liters of adblue in a hard 14 hours!! I do really like the tractor, perhaps it's because it's a lot quieter than my old one.

We had one of the TNS challenger , it is a very good pulling tractor. It had a few mods in its time, it was only moved on due to needing more HP.

We Run two D series and one C series. Both are very good, I would agree with the sound issues! The ad blue is a bit of a pain but I would say the D is slightly better on fuel. The CAT engine is loved by all but the sisu is doing a very good job so far we have a D with 3000 hours without any issues.
