Cattle handling system floor.

I’m about to start installing a new handling system and am wondering what type of finish to put on the concrete to stop them from slipping?
Some of the marts have an almost sand paper like coating in the rings and where cattle move a lot and there’s no chance of anything slipping but I’m guessing it’s expensive and I don’t know what it’s called to research. I’m thinking some kind of grooved concrete will be the way to go but what’s best? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Cheers J.

Is it rough enough to stop them slipping when it gets covered in slurry?
Our current system is on concrete and after it’s brushed up a few times if it’s not power washed it gets very slippy if it gets damp.

Carborundum dust/grit is probably the stuff you’ve seen. In our parlour floor and it’s very grippy, but it was a bit of a pain to lay. We were told to pour the concrete, wait for it to go off a bit, sprinkle the dust on top and then power float the surface. It didn’t go very well!!

Found it better to sprinkle it on and then just brush it in once it had gone off a bit

We concreted our handling shed, roughish finish to prevent slip, they still slipped when had put quite a few cattle through, put grooves in, didn’t make one bit of difference. Now we just put a ton of grit sand down twice a year. It dusty in the middle of summer but never had one slip since.

Just wanted to thank everyone for the help and give and update. We went with the Carborundum grit, found it was better to put it on as soon as the concrete was tapped. It’s very grippy and we’ve had no cattle slipping on it yet, so very happy. The finished articl.
