Cattle weigh bars

Does anyone know if I can just cut and rejoin the cables on our weigh bars? Ideally I would like to add a couple of plugs the same as what is on there so I can remove most of the cable as well as the box. Any recommendations for plugs would be appreciated.

But seriously, I have a tru-test and we shortened the cables with out problems. As far as connectors are concerned RS will have them you just need @PheasantSurprise to hopefully come along and correctly identify them.
Thanks, the cable has just become brittle where it’s left out all the time

Have you sorted it yet - most true test beams have a resistor between two pins in the plugs ( underneath all the silicone) so the box will recognise the model of beam - a bit of nifty work with solder iron should sort it .

I’ve not investigated any further yet to be honest. I will get some cable and give it a go!
