Apologies if this has been covered before, what are peoples thoughts/experiences of Cereal volunteers within overwintered CC’s?
In particular between two Spring Barley crops. Spring barley chopped, pass with Carrier to incorporate straw and provide cultivation for following SB crop, CC drilled and established very well and romping away after last weeks weather! With recent rains good covering of SB volunteers, would people worry about leaving it between the two crops? Last year in similar situation before Spring Linseed the barley volunteers were nailed by the frosts in Dec, can’t rely on that every year however!
