Changing oil on bunning bed chain drive

How do I change the oil on this gearbox do I have to take the big plate
Off doesn’t seem to be a drain plug

Does the bolt that stops the gearbox rotating around the shaft come off easily? If so remove , and unclip the hydraulic hoses ,and rotate the gearbox untill the black plug is at 6 o clock

You might find the bottom bolts holding the inspection plate on will let the oil drain when removed.

Undo the filler plugs before draining any oil though

I had this issue with mine, rung dealer up and they said they pull hydraulic motor out of the back off the gearbox and let it out that way

It’s how we do them, motor off then flush with diesel. Need to do them really twice a year as water and moisture always gets past the top shaft seal.

Just took the plate off ours as it was leaking around the gasket anyway

Take a bolt out of the bottom of the plate.. .If you have time I’d take the bolt out that holds the gearbox on the shaft and slide it up and down the shaft a little and put some grease on it, they can get seized up.
