Changing wiring

So someone wired in led work lights before in 2 different stages. There are 4 work lights in total and one power wire doing the 4. So here's how they work.

There is a three way switch. Turn left back lights come on and turn right front lights come one. Then there is a 2nd switch which if you turn on both back and front come on (for this to happen the three way switch has to be either turned to the left or right).

I want to put it to 2 different push pull switches. What's the best way to go about it. Will the one power cable coming up do?

Sounds like the second switch is just joining the front and backs together.

What do you want your 2 new switches to do? If just front and back separately, then easy. If you want front or front & back, a diode (to prevent reverse feeding) will be needed.

Yes that's what I'd say the 2nd switch is doing.

What I want is j7st one switch for front and one switch for rear lights.

Should be no problem then. Just power wire going to both and output wires going to each switch. If there's any doubt over the original wiring, bung a fuse into the power wire.

Are they being switched via a relay? If not then I'd suggest one switch for four lights isn't man enough assuming they're 50watt leds. Have a modded 956 here that's just melted a switch due to too much load.

50 watt led’s heaven forbid
think you mean halogens, beauty of Led’s they take bugger all draw

No, I meant 48w led but let's not be fussy! The old girls got a fecked cab anyway....... she's had a hard life. On the feeder bedder so two on the side and one front and back. I said the cab was fecked and the wiring isn't much better so a wire was spliced to run the four lights which created a bit of heat. It is on my job list to run some 2.5mm2 up to the roof and add a relay to supply power.

the man likes to start early!
