Price £500 for the pick currently, which reduces as the numbers drop.

Also a couple of Beltex x Charollais shearlings, reared in the same way. £450 each.

Nah, I’m not ‘corporate’ enough to have a sale. I still quite enjoy having a natter with buyers on a one to one basis.

Still some good shearlings available on farm.

Or for those that would rather buy at auction, I have 15 going to the Charollais Society sale at Welshpool on Thursday (26th September). They will be presented, as we do on farm, with no trimming or colouring and reared entirely on forage. The whole pen went to repeat buyers last year, which is as good an advert as any.

They all sold, to average just shy of £430. A lot went to repeat buyers again, and a few new ones.
