Farmers vehicle ????
At these prices toys for the very wealthy.
The capability will never be used by the folk that buy most of these. Swb defender 102k.
Land rover no longer want the ag market , they build a very high tech ,capable machine,
To sell to the high end market . What's the point ??? they may as well bling one up, and remove all the fwd, off road capability ,
As it won't be needed. What a waste of tech, and resources, .
It might help also if they built them without the need for the AA/RAC on speed dial.

I have no idea why you would want to spend the neck end of 90-100K on a Defender like this. A Range Rover you can sort of understand as the interior alone justifies the asking price.

That said, I think I would sooner have a Japanese or American SUV and probably find it a fair bit cheaper and more reliable to boot. No matter how wealthy or well heeled, I can't understand people putting up with vehicles that have constant faults or which are unreliable. I was watching a 4x4 review channel on youtube and they took a brand new Defender out in the wilds, got not very far before the old check engine light came on. Fudge that.

With the sort of price tags these vehicles have new these days, does anybody now ever just buy them without some sort of finance?
I suspect they don’t get bought outright until at least the third owner and approaching 10 years old.

I suspect the swb at £102k you are highlighting is a top of the tree V8 model.
With 518hp, I seriously doubt Land Rover had farmers in mind when developing it.

Totally agree, I see the new ford ranger with a few toys on is around the £60 k. They have lost the plot.
