For sheeted hurdles with a drafting gate there's not much price difference.

Speak to your local stockists/supplier of IAE or Ritchie stuff and just buy what you need/want.

I bought a cheap 20 foot race with backing gate and dividing gate for an outfarm, think it was around 900 euro made by Ritchie, use existing hurdles along with it and it makes a pretty good set up, I was going to make one out of wood but tbh when I seen I could get on ready made for under a thousand I didn't bother

IAE economy race is circa £510, it’s light enough to put onto a trailer yourself, 30 hurdles off the back and you’ve got penning for 150 ewes, total cost £975. I have one that I set up semi permanent at another farm for simple tasks.

This is pretty much what I have. Less hurdles though 8-10 hurdles. I have old gates tied along fences in corners where I have bigger batches of sheep to make a bigger pen. I have a 8’ x 4’ old heavy duty quad trailer (too big for a quad - feels big enough on landrover) where all the pen is stored - my version of a mobile yard. The pen stays on the trailer apart from lambing time when the trailer is used and all the pen is used too before the pallets come into play!! It works for me and it all has a second use I’m my eyes and it didn’t cost the earth

Yeah old gates lined with sheep wire with posts behind give stability to it to. Since getting the Rappa I do all big jobs/bolusing etc with that but it’s handy having a few semi permanent yards set up just for drafting lambs/splitting ewes off etc.
