Cheval osr extension

Is it possible to cut a header extension down in width? There is a 24' one at a local sale but I only need a 20'.

Also are the worth the hassle. I got in ok with my standard NH header last year (previously swathed everything). Crop was short last year though.

Brilliant piece of kit. Cheval uses NH wobble box and knife so you have a spare if needed.
As for cutting it down anything is possible!
There will probably be a few around as most newer combines have vario headers.

Ours works well. Wouldn’t like to try without it.

They are pretty simple at the non driven end so cutting down wouldnt be an issue, reduces losses and being able to bash tall stuff down makes it worthwhile if no vario.

Well I haven't seen it but might take a punt if it is still cheap tomorrow when sale ends.
