any advice or tips to avoid them? Any Boots better than others? Tia

Nice toasty socks-don't let your feet get cold. I got some of those foolish slipper boot/socks for Crimbo last year. I put them over my usual socks in my wellies when milking, and I didn't get any last winter.
I also wear a woolly hat when it's cold to avoid them on my ears.
