There is some merit to this ..

But the biggest genie out of the bottle is the complete lack of representation in London for the majority of the UK.

Must be a lot of people now willing to hold MPs over an open fire.

Of course, considering the (1st) Brexit referendum vote was not far from 50:50, you might suggest that a split parliament, where nobody gets anything through, is entirely representative of the UK electorate.

Your theory that we simply leave with No Deal in the event of failing to agree a deal is misguided, my point was parliament wont allow it and have a number of options at their disposal to ensure it does not happen, which is why we had all the talk of Boris proroguing parliament. In any case Boris has only limited cards to play in support of a No Deal, nameley the ability to do a super trade deal with the USA, and that is now slipping away due to congress position over an Irish border. No Deal is as dead as Mays deal....

The only way parliament can stop it is to change the law , and that would require a new govt .

And as @wanton dwarf says , we haven't got a deal , only a big bill .

You muppets are hilarious.

The EU didn't even create a "Deal" before the Brexit Referendum.

Just what planet are you on ?

The ONLY Deal that was discussed before the EU Referendum was a Trade Deal.

The EU & Theresa May spent 3 YEARS not even talking about it.

You're damn right you ain't "No Expert"
Morning Mr Ike, I've no idea what happens in your head between the point of reading a post and replying to it, you seem to lack the capacity to actually read what's been said preferring to launch into another rant - fuelled by that massive chip you obviously carry on your shoulder over how unfair life has been. I've never said anything about the EU agreeing a deal before the ref, this discussion was about my belief No Deal is dead, Bobk said it's not as parliament have passed it, to which I replied parliament will never pass it due to having enough tools in the box to block it. In theory it's the full back position, in reality it ain't going to happen. Can I suggest you ignore my posts and I'll ignore yours. Have a good Saturday, life's good if you open your eyes.

There are none so blind, but have eyes and refuse to see!

You assume the existing government won't change it. My point was No Deal is dead and not the set in stone course of events should we fail to agree a deal, it simply won't happen - in my non expert muppet opinion.

If they do change the default position the Conservative party will be dead . then you can have a Corbyn govt , good luck with that .

This reminds me of my youngest children who, when they cant' get their way, are apt to put their fingers in their ears, close their eyes and say 'Fumf!' a lot.* :ROFLMAO:

*They say 'Fumf' because they think it is a very funny word, sounds a bit rude and that it is the German word for five...

I was just thinking, I just can't see any good outcome for the Isle that I would definitely be looking at leaving...
If I hadn't already(y)
Please don't go, how will we cope without you? Oh, we have... panic over, great relief.

Good luck over there and you'll be welcome back when it all kicks off; I'll even put you up for a few nights so we can share some drinks take the p!ss out of the EU. ;)

Have to say farming in france is a piece of cake compared to the UK , just need to tinker with the system a little .

Ha ha, my son sent me a little video of torrential rain just after he started combining, I returned a picture of my dessert. One extreme or the other!!! He did say he would prefer the extreme here, generally I agree but I really don’t like 40 degrees...
Nor did I like non stop rain and wet ground at harvest, hmm, this farming thing...

OT I know, but why do all our ex-pats seem to head to
Central France to farm, rather than nearer the Atlantic coast, where surely the climate is closer to the UK’s in terms of avoiding extremes?

If I had to live in France, I'd get whatever I could somewhere in the Ardeche purely for pleasure and as decent a sized place as possible - :scratchhead: - in Brittany. Never, ever looked into purchase over there and can't see any situation in which I would have to and none in which I would want to, but... the former is a quite wonderful place physically, and the latter I like for its character and that of the people. All that written, I'd even rather live in Lincolnshire, Lanarkshire or the Fens in preference. But not in or near Slough.
