Are these actually Packvegs gates?
Cos on the rhs, boards 3 and 6 from the centre have a distinct rippled look to the grain at the bottom end, more than hinting to me that they're made of tropical hardwood.
And that suggests it's OK to cut down the rainforest thousands of miles away, while ironically living right amongst managed sustainable oak forest....
Never mind the orang-utans eh?

I just wonder if they even knew it was Packhams house, on the other hand I wouldn’t put it past the little weasel to have stage managed the whole thing to keep the publicity flowing.
As has been touched upon, its quite possible some thieves have torched a stolen vehicle in a quiet location with no thought whatsoever who’s property it was.

And he is media savvy enough to turn it to advantage :)
added: just like using people with special needs, or little children to get your point across- if you disagree, it shows what heartless carnivorous brutes you all are

As posted by @Kevtherev on another thread, these self publicising fantasists are really an enemy within

Monbiot attended Cumbrian farmer discussion facilitated with / by @Old Tip and then he launches an attack on the sustainable food / Pasture For Life side of farming . You just can't win. I honestly believe they'll only be happy when all of Britain is urban or rewilded

It seems to be a backhanded way of spreading class-hate and jealousy. It's not really about wildlife, it's more about jealousy and envy of what other people own. Rewilding appeals to these people as it implies public access somewhere down the line, and it is a victory over the hated royals. Sadly, covetousness is spreading rapidly, and can be seen all over social media in such diverse areas as "Urban exploration", "hedgerow tractor finds", barn finds and eco groups. Look at the success of the award-winning Book of Trespass. :(
Ironically the ones that his drivell hurts isnt the landlords of these estates (in this case the royals) its the tennants, gamekeepers and gillies. The working man/woman.
Targeting good people.....as i say the man is scum

He is like so many in society, an “Idealistic hypocrite”, as like others have said he doesn’t seem to mind guiding tourists to far off countries for an extortionate fees

That was my original thought, stage managed to get more folk to sign his petition, think weasels all over the country will be displeased at being classed as snakes

It’s not beyond the realms of possibility that it’s militants trying further the vegan ‘cause’ by causing ‘public outrage’, but without any involvement from Chris Packham.
Whoever it was, the Police need to catch them, and he’s high profile enough that they will have to get out of their offices and actually try to solve a rural crime.
Be interesting to see if they’ve got the resources to check through all the mobile phones connected to the nearest cell towers at the time of the attack…
