my surface 3 is getting shook
so i am looking at a new machine
pros and cons of a chrom e book
i use utorrent to d/load
otherwise i use sheets to keep a track of things
and whatever free office is on it to print a bit
the new surface go is smaller and only has usb c connectors
and expensive
looking at an asus flip
or hp 360

Thinkpad is where my money goes, but they come at a price as does the surface. Can't see you would go wrong with any of the others suggested. Buy which every one has a deal on at the moment.

Chromebooks are great as long as you realise that they have very little on-board file storage and usually only a fast solid state drive, something like a large capacity USB drive. You do need a good internet connection, because most of your files and some programs/apps will be cloud-stored.
Its more or less like a Chrome browser on a screen and keyboard. I like it, given that I know how it works.
I don't have one but do use my iPad Pro in a similar way, sometimes using Chrome, except I don't generally use it with a keyboard. For example, my dairy herd program is a cloud based system working through Chrome on all devices but it has a mobile app which stores the database for offline use and synching with the cloud when a broadband connection becomes available.
