They're pretty solid tractors. Most are sold for livestock farm loader work. The long wheelbase makes them fairly stable, though the bonnet is fairly bulky for good vision to a lowered boom.
Mechanically they're simple with little to go wrong (apart from the Deere power system engine, though apparently claas fit better head gaskets). The 4wd clutch can take a pounding on a loader tractor without a rear ballast weight. It can judder and slip under full load, but it's very unlikely to cause a problem in "normal" work.
Overall they're a good simple well proven machine.

I bought a new Renault Celtis in 2001 for 18k, so I'd say the price for that claas is extremely good!
