Hi guys got an issue with a 446RX but first the history, the machine had an electrical fire that took out all the under side wiring harness, I have remade new harnesses with new plugs etc , I have the engine running perfect, all the hydro's working perfect, but the transmission symbol the round light with a lightning bolt through it beeps twice when I turn on the ignition and then stops, if I start the engine it continues to beep constantly, if I unplug the trans Ecu it stops , first thoughts were bad Ecu, so I have swapped it out for another unit and the same fault , I had the Claas guys out and they said its beyond them , so where to go from here, I made a switch box that allows me to at least engage the clutch solenoids and the tractor drives fwd and reverse but I dont want to do damage , I have checked the potentiometer on the clutch pedal all working, checked the switches on the pedal both working , the only thing I did not check yet is the shuttle switch as it required removal of the steering wheel and upper plastics, there is no action from the shuttle at all no lights no relays moving in and out ,
So I am hoping some one may have a clue and I can get the tractor back on the road, the dealer has said I should ditch the trans ECU and update it with the patch harness and a later ecu but I dont think thats the answer just yet , my thoughts were to probably just built an aftermarket TCU and install it what your thoughts I have exhausted my avenues, checked and rechecked the wiring paths and the pin connections now at least 6 times and all are where they should be its a sticky one that getting to me look forward to any help or ideas regards Tom

I shall have a look at this as there was some issues with wiring and I replaced them all and fitted a new plug but did not go into the clutch switch is it possible to isolate the switch perhaps or bridge it to see if it works then , really appreciate your comments and shall look into it in the morning early for sure hope that it regards Tom

We have the similar problem with an Axos 340CX . We could make it work by swapping the wires around on the direction solenoids but that's not paticularly practical so we changed the shuttle lever from another Axos and it will now go forward and reverse. So I think your problem is the shuttle lever £540 from all good Claas dealers.

To Oh Deere well thanks for the heads up checked the wiring and as I said replaced it all and built new looms so I was pretty sure I had it right but you gave me food for thought so I dismantled the know to get to the switch and they all work the relay was working so I started to use the nose and sniff about and the relay smelt burnt , then with a little flicking on the board I found a fried track on the relay board with 2 cents of wire and less than one minute later it all works , big thanks to you for pointing me in that direction it just saved me $3,500.00 fitting in a new system and it still would have been a problem cheers from down under Tommy

You have a clutch button in your gear lever. If these wires are damaged then this will cause your problem
Well sort of a small victory things are moving ahead, but there is now an error when I took the tractor down the road for a test drive, it seems the transmission light comes on and blinks but if I slow back down or press the clutch pedal it goes away for a bit then comes back, there is also a reduction in engine speed back to around 13-1500 rpm , and the two triangle lights that they call the emergency stop light comes on and then goes off in the display not sure what this all means any advice gladly taken I was thinking of replacing the water temp probe as the gauge is working but does not read and the previous owners put in an after market gauge to keep an eye on things also the inlet air temp did not get a read when the guys put the scan computer on so probably a good one to address as well
I did replace the engine speed sensor as the wires were almost shot coming out of the sensor
the upside is at least its driveable and in the paddock not going very quick everything works just fine
cheers Tommy
