Claas 830 feed rollers

Posting on behalf of a freind, Who has a problem with feed roller blocking all the time, In light and heavy crops, The drive belts dont seem to be slipping. And the blades and shear bar ar good on it. Any ideas? Thanks

The spring tension needs to be correct for the feed rollers to work properly

I had a worn scraper bar, which resulted in it bunching and then blocking in the drum. Sounds different to the above.

How many hours has it done? Sometimes the splines can wear on the coupling that drives the roller and it will slip under load but check the scraper bar first

Could it be the "metal detector coupler" in the kidney box? Had to replace one on an 860 a few years ago as it kept dropping out due to wear

theres a little bronze bush which wears in kidney gearbox,which stops the pawl that engages drive comin out,could be that but i would check basics first

Mates 900 was doing that, everything looked fine with the feed rollers when it was run when not lifting, then sometimes when lifting it was jamming.
