On a knife where the sections are bolted on, can the head also be bolted together or does the head always have to be riveted together?

So you used countersunk bolt? Where did you get them. Eyeing up so allen key bolts in screwfix but not quite right length.fitted bolts to my knife about 8 years ago now , no problems so far , bolted the head also . used a 6mm cap screw with a lock nut , make sure get a low profile lock nut so it clears the keepers .
not counter sunk , just a dome capped screw with a allan key fixture , I had to drill the knife out to 6mm for the bolts to get a nice fit , the rivets that were in before were imperialSo you used countersunk bolt? not a claas combine I own, but it was counter sunk rivets that were used before , can you post a picture of under the head mounting for us to seeThe problem I see is that the guide on the head end is flat, so any bolt has to be counter sunk like the rivets are. The rest of the guides have clearance for bolts. Being told by claas that the flat guide is all they can provide
