got my old 86 claas and thinking of an upgrade, so asking the good folk of the forum what's mine worth , good straight combine, done 50 acres this season, 13 ft cut, mechanical gearbox, serviced every year, few knocks and scratches, 3000 hrs , merc engine and runs sweet

i've my 'tidy' 76 valued for ins at £3500......op might get £4-5.5k......but not a lotta market for small combines anymore
Not long since some said the combi drill was dead.

I'd rather have a 106 hydro for my 90 acres. I wouldn't enjoy going into a 30 acre field with a combine header narrower than my combi drill. ;)
Contractor can cut 30 acres in a good afternoon, but walks away with £1000 in his pocket. I need to keep more of that in my pocket.

I'd reckon the OP's Claas 86 would be in the region of £6k give or take, depending on condition.
Plenty life left in her if you're handy with the spanners.
We've a 96 15ft cutting about 115ac/yr and it went through a troublesome period at 3000hrs but shes past most niggles now again.
Don't get much contract combining for that sort of money.
