I already have picked up Dot 4 ATF and Volvo FL
He says, he should of put dot 4 ATF in it by the book, however he only had a can of flat Castlemain XXXX, and needed to get fat lambs to Auction, he took it easy down hill, but as he got to the bottom he opened it up to get a run at the next steep hill, giving it full throttle and as a bit more the linkage broke, and stuck at full throttle, it was then he had second thoughts about the Volvo FM 460 engine he fitted, hell fire he went up the hill like never before, and not only doing 60k near the top, but gaining more speed, he applied the brakes hard to no avail, yet on the top he somehow managed to get it out of gear, only to be doing what felt like mack1 down a 1 in 6 hill, by the time he reached the bottom the brake seals had melted, so he wanted to know where would be a good place to buy an industrial washing machine, just for his underwear, he dare not ask in English as he would of been laughed at, 😉 🙄 😀 😅😂🤣🤣🤣

As been said, has to be ATF oil, if it’s seen a drop of brake fluid the orings will be swollen and mushy!! If oil is not going from the reservoir then there’s no leak. The reservoir has three sections, one for clutch, one for left and one for right hand brake. Is any one of the going down? Has the trailer brake valve been bleed or blanked off? Pressing both pedals will brake all 4 wheels. For independence braking the tap under cab step R/H side needs to be turned. They’re quite easy to bleed through as they’re 1/4” pipes and sizeable master cylinders. Incidentally the bleed screws can be used to blank off at flexi hoses and joints if you need to eliminate a corner at a time. What tractor is it 100 Explorer type or a 110 or 130 6 Cyl?
