Claas or krone Tedder

Going to replace my 4 rotor krone Tedder for next season. Had this one about 7 seasons and been fine. Going to go to a 6 rotor to take 3x10fts so thinking krone again or jump to a Claas. Some of my ground is undulating so it needs to be able to follow ground well. Any advice appreciated

If it's out of those two stick with Krone. If you were going to jump ship I'd choose Lely (MF hook tined models) or Pottinger to jump too rather than Claas.

We have class 770 Tedder and have had it a good number of years now and has been no problem and make a good job

Id say at least look at a lely as there a real good machine. My uncle has a krone and i hate it compared to my lely the way it hinges for corners is crap compared to lely and as said above about the hook tines

Best thing about Lely is the build quality, buy a big enough one and you’ll never need to replace it.

As long as it has been greased and looked after. Our old2 rotor 1 came in about 2000 and has done fair bita work and only time ever had wrench on it was to replace the odd broken tine

Got to be careful comparing older Krone tedders which were not the best with the newer type which seem far more reliable.

We have a Krone 6 rotor which handles heavy one cut swaths of silage and makes a bit of hay.

Only thing I can pick the Krone up on is over time the tines seem to bend slightly towards each other with use but it doesn’t seem to affect the use.

What is wrong with it in hay ? ,We Ted a lot of hay with ours
It's really bad for rowing it up as it gets dry compared to krone . And excellent at lumping it in a big crop it seems to get caught under the guard rails along the front and bulldoze it a bit then fire a lump through wrapping it around the rotor at the same time . Generally wish we'd never seen it but couldn't find a krone at the time. And it doesn't fit the mower either I need to cut narrow if it's gonna be spread and it's supposed to be a match

The krone am talkin about is about 3 years old and our lely is about 2 years if am correct and in my opinion ther is no comparrison between the 2 machines. Personally i wouldnt consider anythin but a lely but each to ther own doesnt mean am right or wrong either way
