Class liner 680 profil rake lost drive on one rotor

using my class liner 680 profil today for first time this season and went to start it up. What sounds like the Slip clutch always goes off for half a second on start up but then runs ok. It did however sound rough for the first headland, Like a cog on cog type noise. We stopped it went to start it up Then it lost drive on the left hand side
The pto is turning going into the top crown wheel and pinion on the rotor but rotor not turning. The rotor turns easily by hand so hasn’t locked solid.
Where are the slip clutches on the machine? Could it be them? What else could have broken??
Just to note the rotors on a 680 are different to a 780/880 liner.
Thanks

sounds like pinion shaft broke. go to claas parts online.you can get the parts in exsploded view . you can see how it comes apart. how old is machine as it sounds like the slip clutch needs new springs and pins

Thankfully new slip clutch fitted and the circlip had broken at the top of pinion and stopped the drive by parting the crown wheel and pinion. New circlip and shimmed up and off we go....
