Got one here, tho not been out the shed in 10 years! 40 odd years ago with the 5000 on the front Dad could go out and bale 9 acres after tea! Never got her to go on plastic string however.

The 1st year I bought it, I did 1800 bales and it only missed 4. Threw banana ones a bit to start with until i got her adjusted up and some extra wedges in further up the chamber. Some of the tin works a bit worse for wear. I was thinking of parting with it after this season but not sure now. This one runs on plastic twine no problem. I can imagine it chewing away at the 9 acres.

Tonights job, christ this 6640 has turned into a bit of an animal since fitting the turbo

Yet again the old girl has more than earned her keep at hay time! 45 years old but sharing all duties ( didn't get a picture of her with her Vicon disc mower - too busy). Third year on the trot that the X7 hasn't participated - back at Harworth for its third investigation after only 38 hours work. Good job the Doncaster girls can keep the place running!

New top link bracket, pin to pin distance is 8 inches higher, kept the original hole so can use it on the rear linkage if need be.

Lifts perfect, stays level till about half way up, then crowds back nicely
