Sorry I’m reliably informed that the landy is a 1964 so is a series 2A model.😌

I have to disagree, it's definitely a late series 1 Landrover, the bulkhead on the one in the pic is different to a 2a, front wings are series 1 too, I think it's the front indicators that have been added which make it look similar to a series 2.

I’ve looked up the reg. on the dvla website & it says 1964, didn’t the S1 cease production around 1958?, my thoughts when I saw it was a S1, I’m going back there on Wednesday & will take a closer look & more photos if it’s still on show.

Its a Series 1 86'' made between 1953 and 1958. I had one till earlier in the year. Dad had a 1953 80'' which were made between 1948 and 1953 which were the same wheelbase as the Willys Jeep. The differences between the two are that on the 86'' the front wings have a join above the headlights and the doors have the recessed handle. The Series 2 came out in 1958/59 with the expanded waistline along the door tops which basically didn't change till production of the Defender ceased.
The one in the photo has a new DVLA non transferable reg (SK gives it away) as the original reg has clearly been sold, Shame.

Went and got my rota baler home yesterday with the ed40, nice little combination new tyres fitted and a good wash looks lot nicer now. Also received this drawing done by Ian at Tractor sketch of my 7710 raking last summer. Well happy highly recommend

Our neighbour had one of those balers & I fondly remember standing at the edge of the field watching him go round & round & intrigued when the back opened & the round bale popped out, my elder brother has a cigarette tin & when he shut the lid the cigarette automatically would pop out ready rolled, that always reminded me of the baler....happy days.
