did not realise my JD was now a classic.
is it not a model LWhat is it?.
Worth loads more if it is
This is 1938 think that's pre classic and certainly doesn't earn its keepView attachment 1118141
It is.is it not a model L
The newest in that pic is a 10 series 1999-2002 (according to tractor.data.)It is.
I meant, what is your JD, that has entered Classic status.
10 series don’t necessarily have LH shuttle (it’s not uncommon). The newest in that pic is a 10 series 1999-2002 (according to tractor.data.)
I would say 70's/80's/90's tractors are classics and the JD 10 series are basically a 00 series with a different sticker and a LHR (shuttle)
Can't possibly drive that mower with 65 hp would need at least 120 from a modern tractor, what the hell has happened to make new ones so useless.A 1979 tractor is definitely a classic but is a mower from the 1990s a classic?

It's only an 8ft mower but I agree, modern horses do seem to be much smallerCan't possibly drive that mower with 65 hp would need at least 120 from a modern tractor, what the hell has happened to make new ones so useless.
How well does the DB handle the mower? It's only an 8ft mower but I agree, modern horses do seem to be much smaller
That Taarup 336 isn't a problem to that 996, although that is a late model 996 with the 540 injector pump which does make a difference. Your 1390 should have more power than it. Our land is fairly flat and we try not to grow massive crops so not the biggest challenge. A trailed mower on the drawbar needs less power than a mounted mower or a trailed with a swivel hitch. How well does the DB handle the mower?
Keep thinking about upgrading from the drum mower to cover the ground a bit quicker but only have a 995 or 1390 and not sure what they would handle.
Very tidy! Mine mows well but the tinwork is rotten.A 1979 tractor is definitely a classic but is a mower from the 1990s a classic?

I need to repair or replace the small front panel below the gearbox and I could do with a conditioning plate, it was missing when we bought itVery tidy! Mine mows well but the tinwork is rotten.
Are they still available or will you have to replace it with chequer plate?I need to repair or replace the small front panel below the gearbox and I could do with a conditioning plate, it was missing when we bought it
No longer available and unlike the later models I don't think there's anyone making them. Will keep an eye out for a breaker or cobble something together. Like all our machinery, it's a work in progress. Are they still available or will you have to replace it with chequer plate?
Could sell you a 337 drawbar needing the drive coupling to the bed. I need time to fix it and it is grand but can't find a any time. I want a newer krone also part of the reason. No longer available and unlike the later models I don't think there's anyone making them. Will keep an eye out for a breaker or cobble something together. Thanks but I'd want another 336 or better still find someone breaking one.Could sell you a 337 drawbar needing the drive coupling to the bed. I need time to fix it and it is grand but can't find a any time. I want a newer krone also part of the reason.
