As been said before it all depends on your ground type and how deep you need to go. We plough with 3 furrow 14inch KV behind a 265, usually about 3-6 inches deep and sometimes she knows it is there in some of the ground. Here's a 165 with 4 furrow, but ground doesn't seem to be heavy

I agree these classics will only go up in price and what fun can you have with your money in a savings account.

Just bought my 4240s recently , puts a smile on my face every time I turn the key

I'll just park this here. Not sure if the front chains are for mine-sweeping duties?
Not only the chains, whoever it belongs to has obviously got some fetish about making the tractor look as cool as possible. Including having cleated front tyres on a tractor that isn't 4 wheel drive.

What do they say: Big feet - big............?
Reckon he has got one sticking out of his forehead too!

There are still plenty of good star tankers about. Paint isn't that special on a lot of them but they're generally sound. Don't know if the steel was better or they didn't get as much use/abuse as tankers do now but they seem to outlast some other brands
How long since they stopped making them? Would it be 20 year yet? I'm sure they were still going in 95
