Completely original 90 G reg still on original goodyear super traction radials 7300 hours. I've put complete clutch and flywheel plus been in back end to re seal internal lift piston. Pressure tested all circuits at the time and all OK. It was a bloody good investment when I bought it. Just need a nice 8000 series to join her.

Got this new to me 1986 one with just 7045 original hrs on it.
Hood, front and rear rim has been repainted.15 speed PS is new to me after the 3650 hi - lo tractors, but it sure is nice to drive.

Been getting used to it with a 4 x 18 moldboard return and s 260 Dalbå Dinco field cultivator. Full depth takes a bit power with the cultivator but 10,5 - 11 kph goes easily.

It's now on 650/65R38 & 16.9R26.
Should I maybe put in another 8-9 k to get it on 710/70R38 BKT V-Flex & 540/65R30 (any brand would do)?

I agree. Pernickity I know but I personally don’t like the replacement exhaust top (should be a rain cap?) or the person that painted the bar axle. However I would still very much like to own it.
You have a keen eye :D looks mint, bet it sounds good when its working hard!(y) how many HP will it be?

Going to 30" fronts might be trickier than you think.
I thought I'd found a pair of 30" wheels for my 4455, but the hubs are different size on the lwb models, 10 stud not 8, and the outer rims won't swap on the wheel plates either!!

7,300 hrs on 30 odd year old tyres? goodyear radials as well, whats happened to modern new tyres life , or the hours you can get out of them before they are "no good"?

The 650/65R38 are not the original ones on this tractor. It has first been on 22.8R38.
Should be a date stamp of some sort in the tyre. But haven't studied it yet. From the wear I would think that these rears have been on the tractor maybe around 2 - 2,5 kh.

The rear rims are W18L. Going to 710/70R38 (wider + bigger diameter) would need 23" wide rims also.
Same diameter 710/60R42 are out of the question for me as this tractor has the wedge lock cast centers for 38" rims.

In US these "row crop tractors" have been mainly used with duals on. With duals the original 22,8R38 wheels could get to reasonably low tyre pressures but for things like moldboard ploughing without duals I would sure want to have more rubber.

Wee pre winter run out of the 706, lambs were out so was "working" as sheepdog. Definitely my favourite tractor 6 cylinder IH282 sounds lovely at tic over and at full chat.

Soon to be seen on a TV game show with Claudi Winkleman at the wheel along with a whole heap of other elderly shite I have living around

Instruction book?
would anyone have a copy of this for an early Steelfab Horndaulic back actor? Currently helping prepare one of these which a Charity ( Fields of Life ) is going to send out to Africa. As I'm not too sure how much experience any of the folk out there have of setting up a machine, I thought it would be very useful to send out the instruction manual with it. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
