The ones at the top have done 175 acres that works out at 61p an acre View attachment 298284
The leading tines have done 1028 acre's that works out at 68p an acre View attachment 298286
Making a total for parts at£1.29 an acre this does not seem that bad considering that we are not buying cultivator or plough parts any more

Are you in the first year of using the Claydon? Compton Estate in Hants wore a lot of steel & tungsten out in year one but in later years they have found that wear rates decreased as the soil structure improved. They are on heavy clay with abrasive flints. Brutal on energy, tyres and steel.

What other sources of genuine Bourgalt A shares are there? Knight & Martin Lishmann used to sell them & expect they still do.

J Brock and Sons, they buy them by the container load !!

£14 for a 5" A blade
£11 for a 2 1/2" spoon
Are they good or bad prices?

Do you find you get the right spread of seed wearing the shares down that far? I'm on my first set and unsure when to change.

I should of changed them sooner with the splitter boot on does seem to bunch the seed up and put more on top of where front tine runs.but like to get my money worth out of them maybe spreader boot would work better with worn a shares
