Claydon front disc

The Seed Hawk has been very good and has produced the best crops on the farm as of yet.
I suppose this is in all fairness also due to better rotation and treating the soil kinder but, the SH will not go near a cover crop that will wrap around and between the tines. Thats why I want a disc in front.
I have tried with putting a disc instead of the leading tine but the penetration is simply not there when the leading tine is not pulling the arms down.
This time I would be looking for something out of the box that works... And happy new year!!

Are you looking for à new drill or stay with the SH and convert it to work in heavy straw and covercrop conditions?
Are you strict no-till or cheat with culitvator or disc to cover straw ?
If you look for à new drill, what have you look at?

Sewege waste has been worked in with a carrier otherwise only SH. Started adding cows to the system so hoping to get away from need to incorporate and just spread thinly on top.
I am looking for a drill that will go in green cover crops and not disturbing more than I can use it to 'drill' fertilizer in spring on autumn crops.

They are stronger than you think, the leading tine runs in between those two so does nothing to help them penetrate anyway.

Eh? The tine loosens the ground on the inside edge of the tines. The points on my demo machine with the normal leading tine then the twin tine kit wore badly on the outer edge. The crop came up ok though.

In hard conditions maybe, but in the wet it didn't look ti help. the leading tine cut a slot, as did the twin tines. Far from ideal conditions. Got a video of Frank on YouTube drilling a couple years ago.
