Cleaning electrical connectors

Hi, could do with some advice to clean up the electrical connectors on the bulkhead of my 956xl.

There are about 8 plugs with 4 female connectors in each on either side of the bulkhead that push into 8 matching connectors in the bulk head firewall which are male. So each wire has two connections through the bulkhead.

Is there a way clean up the spade connectors in the plugs and in the bulkhead to make sure the connections are as good as possible, as they have 30 years of sh1t in them?

TIA

If the circuits have been giving trouble, replace the terminals because no amount of cleaning is going to fix the problem.

If there are no problems and you're doing this as a preventative measure, contact cleaner and dielectric grease will be fine.

Thanks both as there are a lot of connections probably about 60 I wanted to clean them as efficiently as possible without dismantling the 4 wires out of each plug. Have to say its not the best design in the world as the plugs aren't sealed and i think the build up of corrosion and dirt is causing a slight volt drop.

disconnect battery and split plugs and spray contact cleaner and wire brush them 1 at a time

Well in that case, cleaning the terminals may not "fix" it for very long, you'll likely be back to square one as soon as the corrosion sets in again. If the protective coating on the terminals has worn away and they're corroded, chances are there's also corrosion between the copper and the terminal.

Been there, done that. Up to you though, it's your tractor.

Lasted 30yrs cleaning might get you a temp fix if it lasted 5 years would that be worthwhile? Give them a clean sometimes a cotton bud and some contact cleaner and fine wet and dry can solve the issues and do what you can to keep more crud out
