He can't dictate, he is expressing a view based on evidence and understanding of how systems in agriculture and food work. He is trying to influence the debate. Thats his job.

Actually, whatever these people were reported as saying, there's no way that a cloud seeding exercise could have caused the Lynton flooding. Science states that Cloud Seeding increases rainfall typically by 20 to 30%
I don't know why you chose to use the words "There is no way a clouding seeding ...", as cloud seeding will always increase rainfall by what degree varies by application extent etc

Cloud seeding can increase annual precipitation by about 10% in skilled hands in the right place - sorry, it would be nice if was more efficient.

I said that because of misinformation about cloud seeding. It really isn't capable of influencing anything like the weather system that brought about the Lynmouth flood, or any of the flooding that occurred in the south west peninsula on that day (or any day, for that matter).

The Lynmouth flood cannot be a result of a cloud seeding experiment that took place 100 miles away, downwind, and on a different day. Quite who decided to report it that way is a mystery.
It might be interesting to see who was involved with creating that myth. The ex RAF cloud seeding team member will be long gone, but I wonder what the "journalists" are doing now.

That's right. That's the recollection in question. It's not based in fact ~ as you can see from the articles from expert meteorologists. Mr Yates seems to have thought there was a link between what he was working on and the flooding, but he was mistaken. Whoever published the story didn't check.

The key point is an application of salt caused heavy rain 50 miles from the point of application where the skies were classified as normal summer weather.
Applications were applied upto & including the date in question.
RAF hid the fact they were modifying the weather & the intent to create weather extremes so large as to alter the landscape causing floods & unstable ground.
Those are the facts stated in the article.

Not supported by your screenshot, sorry. There's the anecdotal recollection, which needs documentation to confirm the rainfall 50 miles away was actually the result ~ and where's the link to the declassified documentation about intent?
That cloud seeding could not have been a cause of the Lynmouth flood is settled. What must it be like for relatives and friends of the flooding victims, having to deal with a distortion of the truth by determined conspiracy theorists.
