was a jeans man for work but now a complete strauss work trouser convert! beats jeans hands down for work and durability.

t-shirts are usually free ones- clik, liquid thrive, canni college etc

dealer boots mostly, welly boots if very wet.

tracksuit bottoms - I do a lot of climbing over gates into calf pens so want them stretchy - rugby/polo shirt down-graded from 'best'. Overalls and if cold /wet a sleeveless and or waterproof coat and leggings. When it's really cold I have a cricket fleecy sleeveless that has a really long back so I wear that under overalls too. Bought a new pair of cheap trakkies (£5) for work last week and had to push / walk a new born calf in. 500 yards in the drizzle. Within an hr of buying them they were already stained with orange calf poo through my overalls (all went straight in the wash!)
I nearly always wear work gloves (the suede/woven sort) too keeps the worst of the crap off and helps to keep my Raynaud's at bay in cold weather esp on metal gates etc. Woolly or leather Oz hat depending on weather. Used to ear riggers but fed up of them leaking, changed to Dickie's groundwater they don't let the water in and have steel caps but they are not as warm as riggers.

Summer, shorts or jeans with / without overalls, polo/rugby as above or short sleeved polo. Riggers or trainers, or wellies when wet.

Smart depends on the meeting, sometimes just smart trousers, flatties and a blouse/sleeveless or if very smart 'corporate' smart trousers, shoes with a heel, jacket or occasionally a skirt/skirt suit (mainly summer)..

Summer: sometimes jeans but often an old pair of cycling trousers. I look a prat but I dry out quickly and they stretch when I'm climbing, kneeling, bending etc. polo shirt and wellies. Have been known to milk in a swimsuit when it's really hot.
Winter: as above but with added ski trousers. Still look a prat but I get really bad chilblains so I don't care. Still a polo shirt, ( buy them by the dozen from Strauss) but with a fleece on top. Still wellies but with extra socks. If it gets really cold then thermals, and more layers.
Remember weebles wobble, well that's me. But if I did fall down in winter, probably wouldn't be able to get back up......

Jeans (blue or black) & a T shirt all year round, with a fleece/old sweatshirt if chilly. Boiler suit over top if it's wet/muddy/bit more nippy, body warmer between fleece & boiler suit as well if getting berluddy cold. Rarely wear a coat, unless I really have to go out in it for any length of time & it's pee'ing down.

T shirts are now normally fairly new ones, sporting BASF logos.

For 'best', it would depend on how 'best' it needs to be. Ranging from removal of overalls, to DJ & Dickie Bow.

Winter: jeans, t-shirt, fleece, boilersuit, bodywarmer, wellies
Summer: jeans, t-shirt or vest, wellies (boilersuit for milking)
Meetings: eh??
School run/shopping/midwife appointment: Clean workers
Best: dress and heels for weddings, jeans, heels and a nice top for pub.................whatever fits at the mo though, and definitely flat shoes:)

Always wear the wifes undies.... She hasnt found out yet so ....hope you lot can keep a secret......

This post brought back a memory.

In my twenties I used to do a lot of Rough Shooting over Forestry Land with two friends, who had permission and keys to every forestry gate in West Wales.

On one occasion another person asked if he could along.

Somewhere in the Wilds of Mid Wales, between Llyn Brianne and Abergwesyn, with no human habitation in sight, he suddenly announced he wanted a pee.

We were all surprised by his announcement, and told him to get on with it.

He then asked to promise not to laugh.

Curiouser and curioser!

When he dropped his trousers, he was wearing his wife's shocking pink tights.

The three of us, rolled about laughing for several minutes.

He never lived it down, and never asked if he could come out with us again.

Summer. Rugby shorts and t shirt and lightweight fleece in evenings just to keep the chill off.
Winter. Jeans and t shirt under my overalls. If I have my thermal overalls on then won't need a jumper but if they are in the wash have a jumper on too.

Summer, t shirt, Canterbeury shorts and overalls, Skellerup 4x4 Marathon gumboots,(y)
Winter, as above minus the t shirt, Canterbury ugly rugby shirt, short sleeved, wooly black singlet, wooly hat, overtrousers and rain coat.
Smart, as summer, but clean  and Valtra hat:)
