Coccidiosis drench

Just done another FEC 2 weeks on from my last one.

Strongyle was at 50 EPG, now 200 so still no need to worry

Nemo was at 50 EPG, still the same, but with warmer weather soon I expect that to rise, so will keep a close eye on that but no drench yet.

Oocysts at 10,000 opg, but now at 4,300 so dropped which I find odd??

Still no real clinical signs and lambs doing and looking well.

I would have thought Cocci would be rising at this stage. They have been on relatively new pastures the last 14 days on 8 hour moves. Oldest pasture is 3 years old, youngest not yet a year. So that is probably helping. They go back onto old pasture as part of the rotation in 8 days time. That is the high risk part of the cycle.

At present Im thinking do another test in 7 days and go from there?

Am I thinking OPG counts below 5,000 are not something to worry about too much?
