Hi, I bought this machine to do a couple of regular handling jobs and am pretty pleased with it on the whole. It's an old A reg (1983?) . I'd like to have a better understanding of it and do simple maintenance jobs as well as sort out a few problems. Is there a manual out there please?

Wish I could tell you! Don't know how to identify it. Vendor said it was based on a Ford 3000 but was on a lot of morphine! The water pump replacement part was International.
Here's my opinion, but someone will probably come along soon and correct me :

As it's a 230.. that puts it as one of the very early ones. From what I understand, this would more than likely be an international skid. Which the water pump would confirm.

is it clutch & gears or torque converter?

What do you need to know about ? Oils ?
There have been some other good threads on here about this..

Mmm. There IS just about a clutch!!! Hahahaha, and allegedly 4 gears tho 2nd is all I can select - it'll do for the mo but ultimately more would be better. A local fluids supplier sold me the correct hydraulic fluid with which I topped up a bit. I dipped the engine oil and it's minimal so I thought perhaps chuck any old diesel oil in but I've since had second thoughts and would rather use the right stuff and yes the hydraulics ARE slow and I've read some interesting info on here on that subject.?

For some reason, the gears on mine don't match up to the original diagram chart beside the gear lever !!

Clutch, so an early one for sure ... probably based on an international tractor but I couldn't tell you the model..

I'd say Multi Universal tractor oil would be fine for your engine, and if the hydraulics run from the axle casing, it'd be fine for them too..

It's what I use, But don't just take my word! Some internationals like a specific oil..

Hello
I have a similar loader for 2 years. Is it possible to get a user manual for it somewhere?
I know it is based on IH 4 cylinders.
Someone has modified the fork stabilization. Currently I have to do it myself but I saw the version with an actuator at the back
On the forum I see that the collins expert is @Nearly
Can you help me?
