Comb and cutter grinder

Have been thinking about buying my on grinder for sharpening my own combs and cutters.. Shearing about 6-700 for the year. Now I've been looking out for a second hand one but they seem like hens teeth!
Has anyone here got one to do their own? Did it take long to master it or would ye consider it a waste of money? Can get a horner one for 1k and I presume it would be plenty good. Opinions please!

I’ve got a Horner one. It didn’t take much to learn to sharpen the gear but I’m only a 220 day shearer so gears probably not perfect for speeding shearing.

yep bought an old one 12" years ago , have had it rewound , but you dont have to use cutters combs till they are blunt , a quick sharpen makes life easier .
did see one at a collective sale few years back , took it up to £125 then let other bidder have it .

I imagine that's a bonus alright, being able to sharpen them more often and not running them till they are completely blunt.
Seen the youtube videos alright and they make it look easy.... But anything is easy once ya know what yer at!
