Anyway had any prices for new crop feed barley?
I did 4 loads for July a few weeks back, probably should of held on a bit longer but if I don’t get some booked in they can’t usually move it fast enough at harvest.

Think that’s harvest movement....
seems as if harvest movement is being discounted a fair bit ( more than usual)on the basis that farmers are short of cash and storage so will need to sell , Im not so sure thats the case for the majority of arable chaps who have benefitted from the uplift in grain and not given it away on forward sales and if not bought all expensive fert , plus at the current discount its worth looking at a storage scheme if short of space

And if harvest starts a week late, like last year, it could be interesting. All depending if the pig and poultry industry doesn't contract to much and Vivergo and Ensus are using wheat.

Feed wheat Shropshire 326 to mill spot 🤔
what do reckon cash in or hold ?
I'd be tempted to cash in,the merchants this side of the country seem to have a lot of wheat on their books, they have shifted everything pretty quickly, still sat on last months wheat sale's......
When I spoke to my grain merchant last week he wasn't keen on buying wheat for this month,
Still got a chunk of wheat to sell,so I'm getting a bit nervous now.

Only about 8 weeks before we start again so the window for getting old crop sold and moved is getting smaller by the day. As you say I would think alot of merchants will have the orders covered for May/June by now.
