Seems there is a larger difference in paper than physical atm especially the further north you go, as ive said before its not as grim up ere as folk say ....

Anyway had any prices for new crop feed barley?
I did 4 loads for July a few weeks back, probably should of held on a bit longer but if I don’t get some booked in they can’t usually move it fast enough at harvest.

As @Spencer says that’s for harvest movement, been getting well over £300 for old crop feed barley. Will need to move around another 400t at harvest yet hence asking what others are been offered.

seems as if harvest movement is being discounted a fair bit ( more than usual)on the basis that farmers are short of cash and storage so will need to sell , Im not so sure thats the case for the majority of arable chaps who have benefitted from the uplift in grain and not given it away on forward sales and if not bought all expensive fert , plus at the current discount its worth looking at a storage scheme if short of space

And if harvest starts a week late, like last year, it could be interesting. All depending if the pig and poultry industry doesn't contract to much and Vivergo and Ensus are using wheat.
Think new crop still got a bit to go yet. Still got drought in US and now India is restricting exports due to extreme heat reducing yields.
into another shed tomorrow should be 3 loads , only 2 sold , if my miscalculations have worked out ive got 2 extra loads

Everything here has backed off a bit from two weeks ago. milling oats are half what they were three months ago. Every miller has covered it’s needs I guess.

I'd be tempted to cash in,the merchants this side of the country seem to have a lot of wheat on their books, they have shifted everything pretty quickly,still sat on last months wheat sale's......Feed wheat Shropshire 326 to mill spot

When I spoke to my grain merchant last week he wasn't keen on buying wheat for this month,
Still got a chunk of wheat to sell,so I'm getting a bit nervous now.

Only about 8 weeks before we start again so the window for getting old crop sold and moved is getting smaller by the day. As you say I would think alot of merchants will have the orders covered for May/June by now.
