Think there is more to come for 2018 harvest and I don't usually sell before sowing. However there are more uncertainties with 2019 than we have ever had and the fertiliser is 50% bought.

was that delivered? or did you mean Nov 18? Like @Chae1 said, it's a weird price given current Scottish markets.

19 prices are being driven off 18 fundamentals. When you think it's a good time to sell 18, sell some 19 as well.

Small harvests get smaller
Big harvest get bigger
Before Harvey Very rare for a forecast of yield to be close to the actual turn out
This year every updated estimate is lower than the last
Last Russian drought did not hit prices till August

today i think your advice could be right but still not selling 18 other than maybe a couple of loads at harvest

Looking at crops it’s going to be very hard to call until combines roll..

That’s my thinking as I drive on sprayer observing “the good, the bad and bloody awful bits”

For now am gonna sit on my hands and see where it goes.... hard to see the price going back..

30/40 cwt acre crops bound to make a big hole in the available pile of malting/feed

Spot price doesn't come out till September these days. Hopefully this year might focus their minds!

£20/t over feed wheat is starting to look pretty poor as a percentage.I make it 11.76%.
