How come we can grow 17/18 ton of maize per acre with just muck underneath , yet are frightened to see what wheat will do. If your lands in good heart it’s time to make it work for you .
crops look well, so won’t be rushing with early N if they stay looking good .

There is a small amount of Maris Otter grown in Cornwall to produce malt for Cornish Beer

Surely a lot of 21 crop will be sold already, given good prices? Supply must surely be tight until harvest, so can’t see any reason for any substantial drops.

Loading a couple of loads of non-FA feed barley out at £215 today. That’ll do.

Makes sense grow for your markets . Pretty much all my barley gets fed to my beef cattle and walks off the farm

Same here. Looked positively ill a couple of weeks ago and black green now.

Some of my neighbours barley is walking off our farm this year.
Our barley this year is all hopefully going to be peed down the toilet.
