What price have you been offered? I've just been quoted £353 ex farm (yorkshire)

It's a crap price considering the cost to grow. But it might be the best we can reach this year.

South east Scotland, April uplift, hard feed wheat £175 plus £6 for biscuit premium at 10.7% protein, or £5 at 10.2%.
Thats the last of my '23 harvest, it should work out at an average wheat price of £197 for the year.

I took delivery today of a load of maize I bought on Monday. I was surprised to find it hadn’t been collected from the docks but from a farm based store, about a 15 mile haul from Teesport, and another 15 mile haul to me. Makes me wonder what price it’s coming in at if they can haul and pay storage, then sell to another merchant to take a cut and haul again all for £195/ton?

Quite a bit goes into store, the docks have very little storage, compared to the amount of product going through. Huge amounts of gypsum, and animal feed raw materials, plus potash
Grainco have a big store on Wilton, I'm guessing yours would come from Gloags? Or a bit further down the road?

That’s the beauty of futures, (well maybe not the £350) producers could have sold well into the mid £200’s and consumers brought in the £160’s and both been happy.

That’s whole grain, I roll it
