Quite a decent jump up for a Friday close +£5.47.
Is this of the back of the attack in Russia and the expected fall out?

Couple of prices earlier in the week, was offered harvest movement -

Wheat @ £180
(Edit, got mixed up with another price) Barely was @ £160 not 170

i inflation falls faster than the expectations of the city then the expectation will be that boe may reduce interest rates further than usa and eu leading to a weaker £

the consumers are now realising that they need to keep every grain of wheat in the uk
and that sfi may take more land from spring barley

Last of osr @£355 + bonuses to a non-niche buyer. £25 up in 3 weeks.
Had to of been sold by next Thurs otherwise had to of paid for further storage

How low?

is it just a dirty sample or are they clean but low kghl?

Best part of £100 difference between feed and milling so plenty of scope to clean them up if they are the type of sample that will clean

Those ~£5 pluses are just Friday's lifts in the leading months (May, Nov) cascading through the others. Today's true trend is back a touch, after an early lift.

It is confusing how these consequential changes are reported - AHDB show July '24 starting and holding at £180.25

I am no expert but I think the green figures are still showing Fridays gains as nothing has traded for that month today whilst the red figures are showing the results of todays trading.

It's changing as day goes on. I'm going to sell my 2022 OSR. Only £200/t below price when it was harvest.
