What acres do harvest with those combines?

Very little now, 33acres/yr the last three. Up until about 15 years ago the yellow roof cut 180-220 religiously from the mid 70s. Then the green roof came along 04 first couple of years dad and I were cutting around 300acres plus, between ourselves and local. Then gradually less due to getting less ground, people not growing as much and neighbours buying their own newer bigger better combines. Genuinely they have been brilliant to own, but are starting just to show signs of wear the last 5 years. I was thinking if I stripped one down completely and rebuilt from the ground up spend let's say 8-10k did some mods that I've wanted to do. You would end up with a cracking machine.

Where will the small second hand combines keep coming from as there must be very few new smaller combines sold per year???
That said small combines must still be selling around the world else combine makers would stop making them.
Be interesting to ask combine makers “world sales dept”, “in which country do you sell the most smaller combines you make”.
Look to Japan for the next generation of small combines. Yanmar Kubota etc.

My TX36 has 5240 hrs on now. Pretty reliable on the whole but i am not too far away from Manners yard for parts. Does about 90 hours a year.

I went up for a returns bottom auger. He had one on the shelf and I could have picked it up that afternoon (Sunday) if I wished. Rain was forecast so got it first thing next morning and was going by dinner time. Then he sent me a header 'brains' plug that I managed to run over. A couple of bearings and a new sail guide plate thing to go on the header and that was it on my ,TX65.
