Hi folks,
Anyone out there using these Mich CEREXBIB tyres. Looking at an ex-demo combine which has them fitted. Been on 800's up till now but I believe these are meant to give you the same footprint. Is that right?
Looking to change from a Deere W series (one drum walker) 6 walker to a T series (multi drum walker) 5 walker. So we wouldn't have specced these on a new machine as we would be narrower anyway but they are already fitted.
I know tyre tech has moved on one hell of a lot recently but seems strange to have narrower tyres on the combine than we have on the tractors!
Thoughts please!

Cheers.

Same green combine 4wd, one on 800 and one on 680, very steep hill, diff lock in and 4wd, the one on 800 whistled up the hill the other one dug some holes (both on half full tanks) had to reverse to the bottom empty and take a run.

Interesting. Any idea what the tyre pressures would have been at? I'm guessing the 680's are designed to run at a much lower pressure.

Just keep your 800's swap the whole wheels over we did that with the last combine when it came on continental tyres we kept the michelins from the previous 1.

Because the cerexbib is a tyre with a high side wall, but with a low inflation pressure, it makes the combine roll from side to side. Not to bad with little in the grain tank, but when more than 3/4 full it's horrible.
Like been on a boat side on to a heavy swell.

we weighed out T550 last year with a full tank of wheat and header. front 8260kg per tyre, back 2950kg per tyre. you could run them at 17psi. There will be a lot of flex or bounce in the tyres as they are been used at low pressure. the only way round this if you want to keep pressures low is to go very wide on a larger rim with a lower profile. If you stick with the 680s they are a taller tyre so make sure the combine is running level, might need to put rear axle in lower holes. we run 800/70 32 mitas at 14psi if working on flat going, it rocks from side to side too if going across tramlines. but its fine in middle of field
