Do farmers in the UK have a need for a combined moisture and temperature sensor that checks the conditions in the storage heap and communicates it real-time in a wireless mode?
We are asking because a small Danish company has developed such a sensor and is wondering if the UK market is a potential market (not trying to sell in this post!). It would make sense to know first if farmers need it. The advantages of a sensor like this is that you would not have to check the moisture manually.
What are the actual issues for spoilage for UK farmers with regards to wheat and barley?
Any quick comments would help understand the situation in the UK. Each country is different and Denmark is not immediately comparable with the UK. Grateful for any spontaneous feedback. If you want to know anything about Danish farming issues please also ask us.
Thanks in advance.
