In budgetary terms?
The 6th biggest economy in the world is leaving.
Yes and that is not good for rural Ireland in any way, but the UK has not been a willing, constructive member for many years saying NO to most things in the EU. I'm not say that it is good that the UK is leaving, but that it will strengthen the EU's hand in many way. I would have preferred the UK to continue it's role as a counterbalance to the EU's move towards federalism, but it is not my choice.

Most carer politicians have their hand in the sweety jar somewhere along the line.
The secret is to get it closer to home where it can be seen and sorted. Especially with the openness of the internet and the dreaded social media when you have it close by and can see it then you can do something about it
Eg. the expenses scandal was exposed first of all in a golf club in Scotland.
That resulted in the resignation of a top honcho thief in Holyrood
Therefore it was extrapolated that if that was what the jocks were doing what about the Henry's in numptyville london.
Lo and behold the duck ponds etc appeared.
The MP's were and are thick and claimed to have been encouraged by the worst of all evils the Uncivil service.
Why? Easy answer the only way you can fire a CS is if they fiddle the expenses.
Just when an MP is about to make a stand for either his constituents or more likely his paymaster lobbyists along sidles the Whip and with a slight whisper in the ear reminds them that their historical transgression may become public.
Does that ring any bells reference the debate about Brexit.
The whole house of cards is corrupt but bringing it closer to home allows a modicum of control.
