So getting a bit creaky, and have constant back issues especially after spending a few hours on our Massey 5480.
Like the tractor but it only has front suspension.
Our Arion has cab and front suspension and is far more comfortable.
So, if I was to change the Massey what should i buy that is comfortable
Looking at similar size or very slightly bigger 4 or 6 cyl

Its funny because I would automatically say Fastrac as the ride is excellent but when I used to do 7-8 hours road work in one I would get a a weird pain in my back, I could never work out if it was the seat or driving position perhaps.
Been driving a Valtra lately and got to say it is very comfortable although it has got cab suspension, a decent seat in it and 710s on the back as well.

I found tall tyres, suspension, 3 axis seats wrecked my back, I was in so much pain at times I wondered if I could continue tractor driving for much longer. I now run unsuspended tractors with simple seats and have absolutely no issue with my back. Bone-shaker is much better for me it seems. Just park a suspended tractor by a rigid one with a big baler running flat chat, rigid just gently rocks on the tyres, suspended looks like a ship in a rough sea

Try a Fendt 516 as the front axle povits from the clutch belhousing & they are very smooth

jd are you having a laugh? i went carting grass for a neighbor one day on a deere and i told him if i went again i'd take my arion and he would have to pay!
I has an arion for 3 yrs and it was nowhere near as comfy as our deeres with only front suspension. Possibly due to crappy sears seat instead of grammer but it wasn't as good as deeres then we got an R with full suspension and it was better again . Current ride is a 4220 fastrac and suspension wise it's simply unbeatable

Did a bit of time on a 7530 and it was a bloody awful ride on the road.
Now a 7930 that was something else and was like spending the day in a great big comfy armchair😍😍😍😍
