Ill make some more for next year 👌

Even on my softer land, the grass is going backwards.

Shovelling waste cabbage, swedes, beetroot, sprout stems onto the pastures tomorrow.

Why won't sheep eat good haylage post lambing?
I don’t know why they won’t eat Haylage or hay. We have a rack out with some lovely may hay in and they haven’t touched it. That hay has brought a few back from the brink of death over winter as nothing refuses it but they won’t eat it after lambing! Your waste veg will do them grand.

They certainly love Goldthorpes ewe rolls. Enjoyed the waste veg too.

My knees are taking a real battering. No wonder proper sheep farmers have quads & snackers.

Odd about the hay, they would eat it during the 2019 drought & they love it when on lush October grazing, but they will rarely eat it just after lambing outside.

Snow here’s about an inch did not snow after around 8.30 pm but did a late run at 11pm brought a couple in amazingly 3 more lambed through night but picked good spots just lost 1 triplet that looked quite small so hard to blame it on cold but who knows rest all sucked and looked fine this morning. Completely gone by lunch time and dry again?
